I think that your ending paragraph sums up the online retailing landscape in Australia in a nutshell too. No matter what anyone writes about why online retailing not working in Australia, the simple fact is that the big names in retail are not prepared to invest the money or time in getting their online channels in place. Some got burnt badly around 2000 and they steer clear of online. 

To be successful in online there needs to be a lot more than just the site but a unique value and experiential proposition that will make people want to come back to the site. Keep up the good work, you are ahead of your time in this country.</description>
